These boots are among my most comfortable which leads me to wear them the most. Maybe 20k miles with them. They are more than less soft boots compared to my other boots that are much stiffer. They still have hard protection for abrasion and held up perfect in a crash, however my foot did not!I went down and my foot got crushed back. My metatarsals broke in multiple spots. The boots cuff at the top shoved into my calf and ripped me open through the skin, fat, and muscle and I quickly bled out. My ankle didn't break so I'm grateful for that. The broken foot and punctured calf were my only injuries, and I feel like a different boot might have minimized that.I recommend them as comfortable boots if you don't think you're going down. For serious protection I would look for something heavier and less comfortable.
