WorkSo I’m a union carpenter and I’m currently working outside in the cold 20 degrees and lower so I needed an insulated boot with a safety toe and picked this boot bc I heard keens were great. I just got the boot so I haven’t tested them in cold temps yet but will be wearing with wool socks ! So far the boot quality looks great the pics don’t do it justice , the size was right on and fits comfortable I’m size 10.5 , the only con I can say is the boot itself is like a wide style not the inside fit but the design, it almost feels a little goofy but I would still recommend em I’m sure I’ll get used to them , I drive a manual car and bc there wide it’s hard to shift but hey I didn't but these boots to drive in, also the ankle support feels good, I read a bad review that something will dig into your ankle but I don’t feel anything like that. The boots are pricy at 200$ plus but if they keep my feet warm and keep in wearable shape I’d say it’s worth it . Will try to update after some months working in themLittle squares on bottom coming apart.2 weeks of use so farHopefully warranty takes care of themOther then thatI love the comfort and the feeling of the shoesWarranty very difficult to get it going.I did everything on the form and now they asking for more pictures and information that not on the warranty formFirst, take this review for what it's worth, I have a desk job, so these boots see little actual abuse other than being worn 5-6 days a week. They've held up great through that, which is to be expected. When I first put them on, one fit perfectly and felt broken in, the other hurt worse in one spot than any shoe has ever hurt me before. I thought it might have actually been a manufacturing defect, and debated returning them. Stuck it out though and now it's perfect. They fit well and are comfortable. They are really heavy. That's never been something that really bothered me, but I definitely wouldn't take them on a 3 day hike through the Appalachians. The additional insulation is nice, but doesn't seem like it does a lot more than an extra layer of thicker socks (though autumn in SC doesn't help the testing much).I have a hard time paying this much for boots (even though I know you need to pay even more to actually get good quality), but these seem to have been worth it so far. If there is some catastrophic failure as time goes on, I will update this review, but as of now they work great.I’ve worked and played outdoors in winter for 70 years and these Keen Utility Philadelphia’s are about the best boots I ever owned. They say these are rated down to minus 40. I don’t know about that but I’ve worked construction this winter on frozen, snow covered ground at 12 degrees F in the morning only getting up to 18 degrees at quitting time and felt absolutely no affect from the cold on my feet. I wear size 10 or 10 1/2 (sometimes wide) in normal shoes but ordered size 11EE in these Keens in order to allow ample room around wool socks. They fit great! A little stiff for a while but they are breaking in. So far no problems with any features. I treat them regularly with mink oil which helps limber them up a bit.The boots are warm and very durable could have gone a half size larger not good for standing on ice very slipperyBest boot I've owned. Most comfortable, warm and most of all rugged. Waterproof but I still added leather protection. I used them for 2 weeks helping a friend who runs an arborist company. Kept my feet dry, comfortable and safe. Good in snow aswell. They are a little heavy but kind of expected with a big sturdy boot for work. I Highly recommend these.Overall satisfied, a little heavy, but powerful. I put them on two months ago, and the lace has already broken off.
