I would not say they are steel toe cause they aren't. But they do have reinforced leather at your toes I just wouldn't risk placing heavy objects on them. As overall work boots they are great but in heavy duty jobs etc I'd look for some actual steel toe boots. The one I got was soft toe so I'd make sure to double check for steel toe if that's what you need.I purchased these after sending back a second pair of another brand I previously purchased. On the pair I returned both rivets on both boots dug into top of foot. The inside ends of rivets were not covered as were prior boots and both soles had areas that lacked sufficient glue. These boots do not have the rivets and the sole appears to be much better. I put three coats of mink oil over all areas of new boots. Despite being slightly larger, perhaps, I had no blister or discomfort after wearing them. They appear to be of a high standard for boots in that price range.I buy these for work and I am always looking for a product that wears well. I have not tested these for wear because I I am still wearing another product. I push, pull and turn product at work which causes me to wear out the heals and the back of the boot. I buy a boot based on price, wear and comfort. If I pay $100.00 and they last me 10 months there worth it; If I can resole them that's even better. You won't be disappointed. I just got mine and I LOVE them. They fit just a little larger than I expected but, due to my wide foot, that worked out well. Generally I wear a 12.5 wide so I ordered 13 and it fits slightly loosely. Even with that, these are FANTASTIC all-day wear boots. Absolutely zero break in was involved and the laces cinch them up nicely without a squeeze. Slipping them on to a custom fit is a breeze with the nice, wide rear pull tabs and thick brass speed-lace hooks. They wear well throughout long periods of standing and come right off without a fight at the end of the day. I haven't had enough time to tell how long these are going to last but they feel very sturdy! The leather is thick and solid. Mud and debris wipe clean pretty easily with a wet rag. The electrical hazard protective soles are tough and thick yet, flexible and bendable. They are very heavy but in a way that helps you to feel anchored to the surface you're standing on. The slip resistance on these is nice as well. They adhere to a variety of flooring very nicely. As far as looks go, they are more elaborately and functionally designed than the typical work boot. The black patch at the heels with the brass rivets is a nice touch that also offers as much in terms of heel protection as it does style. Speaking of protection, these are steel toe! The steel is generous with space, even for those with wide toes, and feels rock solid. In every way, these have surprised me in exceeding what has become my usual expectations with work related footwear! I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend them to fellow builders and construction workers as well as farmers and the like. I would (and will) absolutely buy again!Bought these for my husband and he says they're very comfortable and a nice looking boot he's very pleased.Wore these boots while on a trip to a local quarry, and they meet the safety requirements for steel toed boots. I wear both a liner sock and a boot sock with all my boots, a trick to prevent blisters and to keep your feet dry. I like these because they do not have the seam around the toe like many boots have. That seam will wear out if boots are used in high dry abrasive grass and the boot will be ruined…not these tho due to their design. For the money paid, I’m a fan of Hisea boots. It first started with their hunting boots and I was blown away by the value, comfort, and warmth. So when the opportunity came up to get a work boot, I had no hesitations.Upon unboxing, the boot felt sturdy, had a well-made, thick rubber sole, and noticeable steel-toed protection. Upon a more detailed inspection, I noticed a small discolored flaw in the leather. This wasn’t a big deal and did not alter quality, but did make me wonder how well they inspect the boots before package. When slipping on the boot, I noticed the insole was comfortable, but not quite as comfortable has their hunting boot. Perhaps the price-point difference means a lower quality insole? Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a deal breaker as I wore these boots for four days straight and never experienced foot fatigue or pain. Just different then I expected.I did like the additional shoe laces included and found the black ones shown here to be the best look. A nice touch I wasn’t really expecting. All in all, I’d buy these again and the value for the boot quality is worth your consideration.High quality boots that have been wet multiple times and held up. I use them for carpentry school where they are required everyday. The only thing i will say is the fasteners that hold the leather part are falling out with normal wear and tear. The steel toe is also wide which allows the rubber sole of the boot to touch before the impeded steel plate causing it to defeat its purpose at times.
